1) Keith Perch used to edit the  Leicester Mercury . How many staff did it have at its peak and where does Perch see the paper in 10 years' time? At the highest point of this companies time it had 130 journalists employed to write their papers, whereas this is very different today due to the increase in news online. keith predicts that in 10 years that journalism will become exclusively weekly as news gets uploaded straight away and lots of people report news independently to help people become aware of problems.  2) How does Perch view the phone hacking scandal? Perch believes that because this scandal of the phone hacking was mainstream, it was not dealt with properly as it lead to many journalists/companies getting away with it but a few getting caught and shut down like news of the world. 1) What has happened to print media in the last 30 years? the last 30 years print media had been a  successful industry, however  due to technology becoming advanced such as  TV  and the  internet,  the print media has had a  drastic decline  in its  value and sales . 2) Why is the  Independent  newspaper such a good case study for the decline in print media?
