WWW- There are a few good points in most of the questions but overall they are hidden by the lack of clarity, organisation and focus on the question.


EBI- It looks like there is a lack of revision here- no Todovor, no genre  theory. Did you prepare for this?
- There is nowhere near enough depth for A level standard... two short paragraphs for question 4 (20 marks) is poor. Did you run out of time?

2) Read the mark scheme for this assessment carefully. Identify at least one potential point that you missed out on for each question in the assessment.

  1. I didn't analyse the poster clearly to identify the different aspects. further more, i didn't use the correct theory which meant i couldn't relate it correctly back to the theorist. 
  2. I didn't focus on one aspect 
  3.  In question 3 i didn't talk about genre alot and about the audiences. I didn't relate it back to the question
  4. i should've written more than 2 paragraphs and relate it back to the question. add more information in depth.
3) Read this exemplar response from one of the Y12s (one of the best, which is a strong B grade). Identify at least one potential point that you missed out on for each question in the assessment. 
  1.  I didn't use theories e.g. enigma codes 
  2. I didn't talk about enigma codes in depth
  3. Didn't discuss how effective genre is
  4. Didn't say who this magazine may be apposed to.
4) Did you get any media terminology or theory wrong in the assessment? Make a note of it here for future revision, including theories/terminology that you could have used but didn't.

5) Identify your strongest question. Why did you do better on this question?
 - Question 2 was my strongest answer as i can compare 2 different posters and annotate the differences they have. Along with this identifying the oppositional reading of it instead of the straight forward meaning.

6) Identify your weakest question. Why did you score lower on this particular task?
- Question 4 was my weakest by far as i didn't draw out alot of factors and i didn't describe it into depth. In additional, i only wrote 2 paragraphs which wasn't that effective for a 20 marker.

WWW- You've taken out specific points from the poster and identified who it'll be targeted at, e.g. people who follow latest trends, people who like rap e.t.c.

1) How does Mistry suggest advertising has changed since the mid-1990s? Ministry suggests that the advertising industry has changed due to peoples attitudes with the adverts being seen as more appealing by conveying gender and sexual orientation of the people. 2) What kinds of female stereotypes were found in advertising in the 1940s and 1950s? Audience 1) Analyse the Conde Nast media pack for Teen Vogue. What is the Teen Vogue mission statement and what does this tell us about the target audience and audience pleasures? Their mission statement is to empower, enlighten and empower and this means that the audience pleasures include surveillance as it provides a political agenda and information that audiences would want to know. There could also be audience pleasure of personal relationships as it provides an inclusive environment and amplifying voices so audiences feel engaged. 2) What is the target audience for Teen Vogue? Use the media pack to pick out key aspects of the audience demographics.
